	Youth Groups


				Youth Group is for students currently in grades 6 to 12. We encourage youth to enjoy the fellowship, learning, and fun of their peers in a warm and welcoming environment. Youth are encouraged to bring friends and do a wide range of activities throughout the year. The Youth have time to hang out with friends, minister to those in need in the community, minister to each other, and share their faith with peers. The Youth also complete one week mission trips to areas throughout the country every other year. Typically, the Youth meet at the church two Sunday evenings a month from September to May. The normal schedule allows for Youth to participate in Youth Choir (5pm) followed by a meal (6pm) and an evening of fun concluding around 8:30pm. We also have a couple overnight stays at our church camp, Friendly Acres. These events start on a Saturday afternoon and conclude with worship back at church on Sunday morning. We pray that our Youth feel God's love through our activities and encourage them to understand the importance of prayer and fellow believers in our faith journey. We realize life is not always easy and we all need support of our brothers and sisters in Christ. Friends at Advent is a youth ministry for children and their families in kindergarten through fifth grade. The mission of this ministry is to gather the families who have any children in these grades to encourage spiritual growth through fellowship of the entire family. The group offers families opportunities to serve the Lord through service while inspiring our youth to seek a closer relationship with God, our church and our community. This ministry meets several times each year at different locations and includes many exciting events that will support our mission as well as provide fellowship for the families.
